Band Camp 2009
Each morning everyone met at the High School Band room and after attendance was taken we loaded up on a bus and headed to Water's Edge Church where we spend the whole day.
Here we are arriving for the day.
Before we got started each morning on marching and placing the drill we had morning warm ups and worked on some marching fundamentals.

Englefield Oil Company Picnic
Well ... I must say ... I wasn't a very good picture taker this year. Guess I was to busy talking to everyone to stop long enough to take a picture of who I was talking to. Ooooops!
But in light of not taking many pictures ~ I did make sure I had one of this....YAY!!!!!! I won the day off WITH pay!!! Now I can't say I've never won that.
Me and Andy....
Here is Jody and Josh. Jody is in deep conversation with her hubby Charlie.
Had a great time this year ... won the day off with pay, a $10.00 lottery ticket, $2.00 lottery ticket and several boxes of candy (like I need that). Next year's goal ... win the 50/50! This year's winner was Mary Dorfe from our Zanesville Bulk Plant ~ she won over $200.00
Here is Bretney... at time's it was so loud that she would call my cell phone just to get my attention. Sorry the picture is so dark.

Courtney's Birthday
I'm catching up!!
The month of August did not start off very well.
August 3, 2009 my best friend Tammi and her family had to deal with the death of their sister Lisa. Lisa was 48 years old! She just could not get her sugar under control. Tammi and her sister's and brother lost their parents when they all were very young. Hugs to Wanda, Vicky, (Lisa should have been here), Debbie, Tammi and C.J.
August 4, 2009 Bob Channel ~ I worked with him ~ murdered his wife Vicky and then killed himself. This is really hard because I knew both sides of the family. Vicky had a son Brandon (18) and a daughter Brittany (9). Brandon was a member of the Heath High Marching Band and he is a very polite kid! Vicky would be very proud of him right now!
Ok so now we have bad August out of the way on to good August!!!

Coallie and Bear
I love watching these two dogs!! Bear is sitting and Coallie is laying down. They are Ben Englefield's dogs and they are the best. Don't get me wrong... bear is a stinker and was rotten to the core, but she is the biggest kisser around.
For some reason all the picture's that I have of Jake the cat did not come out?!?! so that picture will have to come at another time. They also have 5 horses that I feed on the weekends when I stay at their house.

A Look at another group of animals I watch.
I just started taking care of my friends Jeff and Lorrie's dogs along with Lorrie's parents animals. Guess my little side job is growing =D
This is little Abbie... in this picture she had just had a hair cut and has a sweater on because she get's cold. She is just to cute!!
This is Sasha... she is a big furball. Poor girl lost her right eye several years ago, but that don't stop her.
This is Molly... wish I had a better picture of her eyes - they are as blue and blue could be! She is one of Lorrie's parents animals.
This is Maggie... I thought for sure that she broke my foot - she was jumping around because she was happy to see me and landed hard on my left foot - Ouch!! She is also a little yipper but sweet as can be.
Here is their cat... feel bad because for the life of me can't think of her name but she is the biggest cat I have ever seen in my life.
Can't say that I would ever want another dog in my life but I really do like staying at my friends houses taking care of their babies.

Fred J. Miller Camp
This is the color guard and the two drum major's ready to sign up for camp held by Fred J. Miller. It is a 3 day camp where they learn new moves and a couple of moves that they could use during the songs we will use for this years football season.
Camp is a chance for everyone to meet new friends. Here we are just waiting for our turn to register.
At the end of each eveining everyone performs what they learned.
Here is Kayla and Elisa in the group that they were in getting ready to perform for the parents on the last day.
On the right hand side is Katie ~ she is one of my 3 seniors this year.
After all the kids perform ~ the staff from Fred J. Miller hands out awards to some of the kids from camp. Here is Katie receiving one of the awards. YAY!!!! Katie!
By the end of the 3rd day the girls are ready to go home and rest. Fred J. Miller Camp is a great camp to attend and I suggest that any one who can attend - do so, it will be the best time you will have.

The 2009 ~ 4th of July celebration at Geller Park
This is the 2009 Heath High School Marching Band Color Guard. What a great bunch of girls!
Here is a picture of my Stefanie ~ her and Kayla had pie in the face and they had a blast.
Me, my niece Courtney and Bretney just before things got started.
Here is Matt in the dunk tank that the cheerleaders was running. They asked teachers from each of the school buildings if they would help out and Matt was the first teacher to go. Matt is Courtneys hubby.
The day started out a little rainey but ended up being a really nice day! The next day Matt said his legs hurt so bad but the kids loved to knock him in the water.
Got no pictures of the fireworks but they were beautiful!
