Oh what a night...

Wednesday, November 11, 2009 started off to be a good day (so we all thought) First it was Nathan's birthday - Happy birthday bubbie!! Second it was a beautiful day outside and then POW let the drama begin.

Lets go back in time about a week... Bretney gets my dad because something is in her room...ta da... a ground mole appears!! They catch the mole under a bucket and then decides that they didn't catch it and again... ta da the ground mole takes off.

So now let's fast forward to yesterday... Bretney again gets my dad because that stupid mole is still in her room, has woke her up for the past 3 days and she wants it gone - now for everyone that knows our family knows that we have 3 cat's ~ so now ask yourselves (go ahead ask yourselves) why haven't the cat's caught the mole? Bretney's room is locked down worse the Fort Knox's ~ kid you not!! Soooooooooooo my dad comes down stairs, gets a 2 step ladder so he can take one of the panels out of Bretney's ceiling, turns on the flashlight to look up inside the ceiling, looses his footing and falls!! YEP fell off the ladder, hits the bed and then fall's into the rocking chair.

I get home from work at about 6:40pm to Bretney and my mother talking about needing to take my dad to the ER ~ I'm like WTH?? what happened. Bretney and me get him loaded into Bella (that's what we call my dad's SUV and called it that LONG before the whole Twilight things came about) get him to the ER where my dad is now in a great deal of pain.

The doctor comes into the room to talk with dad and the first thing he asks is why is a 72 year old man on a ladder ~ so we tell him the story of the stupid mole. The doc laughs then orders the staff to take my dad for X-ray's of his back in which they don't find anything wrong ~ doctor (who was cute by the way LOL) talks with my dad a few minutes and touches his right side to where my dad let's out a pain squall. They give dad a shot for pain so that it can start working faster ~ and back to X-ray he goes... the doctor returns to inform us that dad has 2 broken ribs!! Yeppers 2 broken ribs ~ OUCH!!

Dad is home resting and doing really good - he was up walking (slowly) around the house but sill in a great deal of pain.

I know that one day the unthinkable will happen and God will come and take my dad to be with him. I hope I will be able to go on because I myself will die that day!!

I Love you dad!!
Bye for now.

Heath Football goes to state!!

For the first time since 1990 the Heath High School Bulldogs make it to state!!

Here is the band practicing inside before the game.
Kayona practicing some moves with the band ~ being inside and to close to the band the girls practice without the flags.

Here the band was practicing the fight song and went marching out into that hall ~ we all were not expecting that and we all bust out laughing.
A great shot of the Color Guard on the field.
Ken and Heather before the game.

A shot of some of the band parents.

This was an awesome shot (I thought) of the band with smoke from the grill where they were cooking hamburgers.

A shot of the band on the field. They did a great job.

After each home game when the band comes off the field and marches up to the stands where we sit ~ they huddle up and do the H ~ E ~ A ~ T ~ H chant.

An above shot of the Color Guard after the were finished with the show!!

The band getting ready for the VICTORY march.

Courtney and Matt enjoying the FREAKING cold weather - oh wait no they were enjoying the football game ~ hahahahaha.

Nathan and his girlfriend Emily enjoying the game also.

My brother ~ in ~ law Steve enjoying the game also.
We played the team of Zane Trace (not really sure where they are from). At first I really wasn't sure if I wanted to win BUUUUUT when the crowd on the Zane Trace side starting booing when we played our pre game songs, I said I hope we kick their asses!! Well..... don't mess with the bulldogs because with a final score of 48 to 9 YEP we kicked their asses.
That's it for now!!
Until later ~ Bye.

Last Football game of 2009

The last home football game of each year is the announcement of our senior players of all sports from the beginning of school to now. Here are the senior band members and my next door neighbors the Wethey's.

This is Jacob Connors with his Mom and Dad. Jacob was one of our field commanders this year.
This is Jimmy McCrillis with his Mom. Jimmy started off the year as a junior but his grades were so great that he requested to graduate early so.... Jimmy is now a senior.

This is Ashley Lombardo with her Mom and Dad. Ashley has her band and soccer shirt on.

This is Elisa Santiago with her Mom and Dad. Elisa is a 4 year member of the color guard. Her first year you couldn't get her to talk and now LOL you cant get her to be quiet.

Bleh.... me giving Elisa a dozen orange roses.

This is Katie Dial with her Mom and Dad. Katie is a 4 year member of the color guard.

Again... Bleh... me giving Katie a dozen orange roses.

This is Kayona Wade with her Mom and Dad. Kayona is also a 4 year member of the color guard. Kayona is very out spoken and she is not afraid to let you know what she thinks.

Yep another Bleh picture... me giving Kayona her dozen orange roses.

Ok random senior picture... Don't know this kids name but...he has attended every football game dressed like this and in the video at the bottom you will see what he does best.

This is Jean, Dylan and Mark Wethey ~ they live right next door to me!! This was a great year for Dylan because this is the first year in a VERY long time that the Heath Bulldogs made it to state. Now the question is .... how well will we do? Don't matter we made it to playoffs and that's all that counts.

Here come the Bulldogs!! LOL and the band!!

At the end of every game we win the football team sing the fight song and then they run to the victory bell and each football player rings the bell once!! As you can see.... they are singing the fight song after a victory of 62 - 6 over Lakewood.
What a great year!!
Until later ~ Bye!!
